Update from Anne Marie...

Dear readers,

There is a lot of pollution in China. It smells soooooo bad. Everyone smokes here. We are on a non-smoking floor in are hotel , Chinese people on are floor still smoke. They don't have traffic lights. People turn whenever they want. For people crossing the street, that's tricky. The Chinese people they just go. The cards, mopeds, buses and bicycles get so close they almost skin their backs. We are actually careful and cross when no cars are coming. Sometimes it takes awhile but we still wait.

The people in China are very friendly and work very hard. A lot of them know some words in English and some know the whole language. So when they walk by they either say "Hi", "Hello" or "Ni-How" which means Hello in Chinese. In the supermarket people are standing around waiting to help you.

I am popular in china. Everyone wants to have their picture taken with me. Yesterday we were at the pavilion; there was a news camera there. He took a picture of my family. It was so cool!

From,
Anne Marie Cawley
